1. Location (based on Seoul map)

  • Address: Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil Street (area centered around Sinsa Station Exit 8), Gangnam-gu, Seoul
  • Area: Sinsa-dong, Gangnam District, southern Seoul
  • Map context: A tree-lined avenue running roughly 700 m from Sinsa Station toward Apgujeong-ro 12-gil.

2. Getting There

a) From Incheon Airport

  • Airport bus #6009 → Sinsa Station (≈ 65 min)
  • AREX → transfer to Line 3 at Gongdeok → Sinsa Station (≈ 1 h 40 min)

b) From Seoul Station

  • Subway Line 4 → transfer to Line 3 at Chungmuro → Sinsa Station (≈ 25 min)
  • Taxi ≈ 7 km / 15 min / ₩12,000–15,000

3. History & Opening Date

  • Developed in the late 1990s as a fashion and café district surrounding Sinsa Station.
  • The name “Garosu-gil” means “tree-lined street,” from the rows of ginkgo trees planted in the 1970s.
  • It became a trend-leading neighborhood for boutiques, galleries, and independent brands in the 2000s.
