1. Korean dialect 2️⃣ Jeolla-do Dialect

Jeolla-do is located in the southwestern region of South Korea. It is situated in the southwest of the Korean Peninsula, with its western side bordering the Yellow Sea (West Sea). Jeolla-do is divided into two provinces: Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do. Gwangju Metropolitan City is also part of the Jeolla region.

2. Famous Attractions in Jeolla-do

  • Suncheon-si: A city famous for eco-tourism. It is home to Suncheonman Bay Wetland and Suncheonman International Garden.
  • Yeosu-si: A city famous for its beautiful ocean views. The “Yeosu Night Sea” and Dolsandaegyo Bridge are well-known.
  • Jeonju-si: A city famous for traditional culture and food. Jeonju Hanok Village and Gyeonggijeon Shrine are representative landmarks.
  • Damyang-gun: A region famous for its bamboo forests. Damyang Juknokwon is its most iconic spot.
  • Mokpo-si: A city famous for its modern history and port scenery. The Mokpo Marine Cable Car and Yudalsan Mountain are popular attractions.
